The Seeds Program is offered in several communities throughout the County of Red Deer. It is a group experience for parents and their children age birth to six years. It focuses on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs and stories together along with literacy activities. Each group of parents and children meet with facilitators once a week for sixteen weeks. The parents learn rhymes, songs and other skills that will help them cope with stressful times while also forming strong literacy habits in the home. Not to mention having some fun and making new friends.
